It’s been rather quiet here over the last few weeks and there is a reason for it: this blog is going to be split into two blogs from now on. Let me clarify…

I’ve struggled with too many topics and two languages on a single blog. Fine art, portraits, weddings, reviews – I was doing everything (which usually equals to doing nothing properly). So, from now on, this blog is going to be about my artsy stuff and I will write it in English. Wedding photography will be featured on my new blog svadobnyfotograf.peterazor.com, which is going to be written in Slovakian. Even if you don’t read the language, you might like the images which as we know are the perfect Esperanto…

Also, I owe you an update on my 365 project. Well, it’s not easy to admit this (and that’s probably why this update comes two weeks later) – I failed. I totally forgot to take a picture one day. Since then I felt it’d be cheating to continue so I quit it. I’m so sorry for this as I enjoyed it.

Bolo tu nedávno dosť ticho a mal som preto dobrý dôvod: tento blog bude od dnes rozdelený na dva. Vysvetlím…

Mal som už dlhšie problém skĺbiť viacero tém a dve reči na jednom blogu. Výtvarná fotografia, portréty, svadby, recenzie – písal som o všetkom (čo väčšinou tiež znamená o ničom). Takže, odteraz bude tento blog o mojich umeleckejších pokusoch a budem ho písať po anglicky. Svadobná fotografia a písačky o nej budú publikované na novom blogu svadobnyfotograf.peterazor.com a budú v slovenčine.

Taktiež som vám dlžný vysvetlenie ohľadom môjho Projektu 365. Nie je ľahké priznať si to (a to je pravdepodobne dôvod, prečo toto vysvetlenie mešká dva týždne) – zlyhal som. Jedného dňa som úplne zabudol niečo odfotiť. A odvtedy som mal dojem, že by som podvádzal, keby som pokračoval. Mrzí ma to, lebo sa mi to páčilo.

Na virtuálnych potulkách mojím archívom som objavil niečo, čo som odfotil ešte minulý rok v Severnom Írsku. Jedná sa o fotky ruín starého opátstva pri dedinke Grey Abbey, založeného v roku 1193. Hneď vedľa opátstva je cintorín. Fascinovalo ma čítanie nápisov na starých náhrobných kameňoch, niektoré z nich sú doslova príbehmi. Tu je niekoľko obrázkov…

Changes Ahead | Zmeny na dohľad

There have always been two main themes and languages in this blog: fine art photography (posts written in English) and wedding photography (targeting my readers in Slovakia). To be honest, I’ve always found it hard to combine these two. So I decided the time has come to split this site into two. This blog (blog.peterazorphotography.com) will continue to be written in English and will feature my free / fine art work. I’m currently creating another blog that will be written in Slovak language and it’s only topic will be wedding photography / wedding photojournalism.

Tento blog mal vždy dve hlavné témy a dve hlavné reči: výtvarná fotografia (články písané hlavne po anglicky) a svadobná fotografia (písané prevažne po slovensky). Budem úprimný, vždy bolo pre mňa ťažké snažiť sa skĺbiť to. A tak som sa rozhodol, že je čas rozdeliť túto stránku na dve. Tento blog (blog.peterazorphotography.com) bude pokračovať v angličtine a bude obsahovať moju tvorbu z oblasti výtvarnej fotografie. Práve tvorím ďalší blog, ktorý bude písaný po slovensky a bude iba o svadobnej fotografii.

I have to admit I failed yesterday. I didn’t take any picture, both of these were taken today. On one hand I know this is the whole project ruined, on the other I know how to change it into something else. More about that later…

Priznávam, že som včera zlyhal. Nič som neodfotil, obidve tieto fotky sú z dnes. Na jednej strane viem, že som týmto zničil celý projekt, na strane druhej viem, ako ho obmením na niečo iné. Ale o tom neskôr…

Street lamps and trees in front of our house create this on our bedroom wall. It’s like free art every morning and every night. Fair enough, I added the candle light :)

Pouličné lampy a stromy pred naším domom nás každé ráno a každý večer obdarúvajú takýmto umením. To svetlo nad svietnikom som tam “dokreslil” :)
